The answer?  Workers’ Compensation Fraud…A wide-spread hoax that occurs in both the private and public sectors, it frequently becomes the job of a private investigator to investigate the suspected scam and prepare the case for prosecution. Husband and wife team Riley and Jane Parker are worker’s compensation fraud specialists and will share some of their expertise and case histories.

A. RILEY PARKER  

With over 30 years of law enforcement and private investigation experience, Riley Parker handles complex cases including workers compensation, disability, embezzlement and fraud assignments at his agency, Parker & Associates; he shares with his wife, Jane. Riley is a Certified Professional Investigator & a Certified Fraud Specialist and has qualified as an expert witness. He has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice Administration; is a P.O.S.T. Certified Law Enforcement Background Investigator; holds a Certification in Workers’ Compensation Law, and a Certification in Traffic Accident Investigation and Reconstruction. Serving honorably as a member of the Bakersville Police Department in California, he is a Kern County Law Enforcement Training Academy graduate. Riley is an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Association of Certified Fraud Specialists, and the California Association of Licensed Investigators. 

JANE PARKER

Jane Parker, private investigator and research coordinator for Parker & Associates, has more than 15 years of professional and private investigation experience. She is responsible for conducting all pre-employment screenings and executive level backgrounds; the coordination of online research and the daily supervision of administrative and financial functions.  She is a former fraud analyst experienced in the telecommunications industry and was an auditor for a major workers’ compensation carrier. Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies; Certification in Workers’ Compensation Law, and a Certification in Human Resource Management, all from California State University, Bakersfield. She is a P.O.S.T. Certified Law Enforcement Background Investigator, an active member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, and an active member of the Kern County Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Managers.
